Worship in scripture is far wider than a music style or a Sunday service, though it includes both. John 4:23-24 contains the clearest definition Jesus gives — "the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth." Worship is not a vibe. It is the alignment of the whole self with the truth of who God is.
Romans 12:1 names everyday life as the primary act of worship: "present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." That reframes worship from something we do on a Sunday morning into something we do at our desk, with our spouse, in traffic. The Psalms give the gathered, singing, dancing form of worship its fullest expression — Psalm 95, Psalm 100, Psalm 150 are short, accessible places to begin.
Hebrews 10:25 explicitly commands gathered worship — "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together." Christian worship is meant to be local, embodied, and shared, not only private. Colossians 3:16-17 ties worship to scripture, to teaching one another, and to gratitude.

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Colossians 3:16-17
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
